Couplings

Quick couplings as both male and female.

Note that the standard female quick coupling (8000031) has pressure class PN50. If higher pressure is to be used for injection, there is a quick coupling for high pressure (8000031-G, PN300), or alternatively, screw couplings type JIC or NPT are used.

JIC coupling male.

For mounting on injection pipes (in 1/2” valve).

GMA’s in-house developed quick coupling for 1/2” injection / extension pipes. It is intended to be used to avoid threading the injection pipes together, for example, on TBM machines that requires split injection pipes due to lack of space.

Quick coupling is sold as a complete article; connections to injection pipes are internal G1/2” RH at both ends. Quick coupling is designed so injection pipes can be threaded against the packer at the end (lockable, does not rotate).

All components are also sold separately. We recommend purchasing extra locking brackets (clips) as these are separate items in the quick connector applied in connection when splicing.

GMA’s in-house developed Sprint quick coupling connects the injection hose to the inflatable disposable packer and then easily releases the hose from the packer. To be used for, e.g., curtain injection with disposable packers or in confined spaces during regular injection at TBM machines. Max pressure 100 Bar.

Quick coupling is available for both 1/2" and 3/4" hose (female and male) is available for M20x1.5 and G 1/2" connection (to 1/2" female), and M30x2 and G1" connection (to 3/4" female). More combinations are possible on request. When using this quick coupling, one male and one locking ball are required per single packer, while the female coupling and pin are reused.

The picture shows a complete Sprint quick coupling as well as included components. On delivery, Sprint is equipped with a fastening eye for wire. Not included in the picture is the locking ball.
