Disposable packer in aluminum and rubber with GX-tip developed by GMA. Available for drill hole sizes between Ø45mm and Ø70mm. GX-packer manufactured with aluminum is intended to be used where packers at a later stage eventually need to be drilled out by drill string or TBM machine.
The GX-tip opens at approx. 2 Bar pressure, and does not require back pressure to close after injection.
GX packers in aluminum are manufactured in a low-pressure version, read more about the respective packs under "Product variants" below.
NOTE: Llock washers and washer in rubber-tip are made in steel, while packer tube, packer washers and core of rubber tip are made in aluminum. The steel parts are very small and are therefore not considered to damage the drill string.
Note 2: GX-packers in aluminum can also be supplied without lock washers on request and then become a reusable packer, but with a non-return valve.
Low pressure packer made of aluminum for injection pressure up to approx. 65Bar (depending on packer dimension, possible injection pressure decreases with increased diameter).
The low pressure packer is equipped with 3 or 5 locking washers. These lock washers are sized to withstand the maximum specified injection pressure after the injection pipe is dismantled. However, consideration of the packer's friction against the rock must be observed when removing injection pipes.
Suitable injection tubes are Mechanical Low Pressure Tubes 1/2" or Manual 1/2" Tubes.

* NOTE: Consideration must be given to rock type and hole direction to finalize maximum injection pressure. The table only shows what the packer itself can handle.
