Stand-Pipe is a well-proven safety system to be able to quickly limit and shut off any large water flows that you risk coming into contact with during sounding or injection drilling (flows so large that no packer cannot be put in the borehole in the usual way, be it a regular packer, or packs for large flows).
The system itself is based on a so-called Stand-Pipe tube being filled a bit with cement, after which it is mounted in the "wall" with resin. Then the actual probing or injection drilling takes place through this pipe and in the event that you come into contact with large water flows, these can be stopped or limited quickly so that injection can take place in the borehole before you continue drilling.
