Our threaded plug is designed to seal tunnel segments against water ingress after backfill grouting.
The plug is threaded into the thread of the segment and then tightened to seal around the bolt and in the thread itself.
The rubber used is age-resistant (peroxide rubber), and the bolt, cone, washer, and nut are of stainless-steel.
The same type of solution can be made with a different design of threads or for a smooth plug (straight plug) or conical design according to customer requirements (not a standard product at GMA, but carried out according to customer orders).
Note: GMA has also manufactured the threaded injection nozzle to the plug in picture in order to pump the backfill grout.
